Glenn Highway Scenic Byway stretches from Anchorage to Glennallen Alaska, passing between rugged steep mountains and crossing expansive valleys along the way.

The highway passes in view of at least four glaciers, the most famous of which has got to be the Matanuska Glacier, the largest glacier accessible by car in the United States. The Knik glacier can be glimpsed to the southeast, from the Matanuska River Bluff pull-off north of downtown Palmer. It also passes by the Tazlina and Nelchina Glaciers which are easily viewable across the valley around thirty miles west of Glennallen.
