Handy Web Links brought to you by Line of Birds!

I know there's only one link here. You can easily find more technical help all over the internet by searching your symptoms, BUT, this is one of the only sites I TRUST, and as far as a solution to your problem goes, they have NEVER let me down. I can't praise them enough.

This site is an invaluable resource if your computer is acting funny. Your best results will come from simply searching the forums. If you use the right keywords, you'll probably never have to register or log in to solve your problem.

  • Just remember, if you've been affected by it, you're not the only one, and you're probably not the first, so find out what the others did to fix the problem before you ask for help.
  • Read the forum's sticky - (meaning they are stuck to the top of the list) threads before you start your search, if your problem is a common one, there will likely be a link to the solution right there!
  • Be sure to follow any instructions TO THE LETTER, or you'll just end up starting over anyway.
  • If you're not sure how to complete one of the steps, look around, someone else got confused to, and there will be a more detailed instruction somewhere nearby.
  • If you still don't find a solution, or don't understand it, be clear and thorough in your post, too much information is better than a generic "help please!". Follow the forum's posting rules and guidelines!
  • Never post personal information - like passwords.

3   Link   Great article on safe computing
One of the best article's I've read on keeping your computer safe, clean, and secure. I don't agree with every single point, but still a must read! I don't know if he has used AVG 9, as he mentions AVG being a resource hog, which 7& 8 definitely were, but now I don't even notice it running. Still worth it in my book, as it has kept our computers safe for years.

What do you think?

I'm supposed to tell you I'm paid for the affiliate links I share here. However, I have yet to make a dime from them, & share them either because I ACTUALLY USE the products, or simply because I believe in them. If this changes I'll change this post.
